I think the Paris agreement shows the current political framework isn’t fit for purpose to deal with the global challenges we face. It’s a political document and a great example of the self-interest preventing us from dealing with the crisis effectively. It does feel like people will only start to react to the crisis when their own self-interests are at risk. But I feel the solution will come from people, not governments. You raise a great point though, something needs to spark a movement of solidarity and co-operation, its the only way we can deal with the challenges we face. I’ll be writing a blog about this soon!
